DIRECTOR
I wasn’t getting any more joy in the industry. I missed that feeling- that personal connection feeling. I wanted to create joyful moments for people like my dad did selling cars. I knew it was time for a change. I’d grown up going to school in the Canada Bay area. Both my mum and dad worked all day to put me and my siblings through good schools. But I realised my day-to-day lacked any meaning. What was I doing? Who was I impacting? This industry can be a lot about how fast you can sell something but long-term, I didn’t want to continue that way.
I wanted to open a new business with the direction of focusing on prestige homes in a great area- my area. Some of these homes are brimming with decades of history. With ‘Ivory’, I was determined to take a deeply personal approach, just as I had seen from my parents growing up. When I go to see a home, it becomes personal for me, I ask how old’s their dog, where does the rest of their family live, their children. I look at the artworks and the frames of the families. This all matters to me because it makes a difference- it really does. I don’t want to only know why they’re selling but also how long they’ve been there. That real connection is what I look for.
I’ve seen the determination of my parents’ years of hard work. In these homes you can see that hard work too. I’m sure they want their kids to go to good schools too. I know it doesn’t come easy. These people worked hard to create that home for their families. I want to pay it forward. The people in this area deserve it.
“George provided excellent service when selling our home this month. George and his team went above and beyond from the very beginning from our initial meet to the bang of the hammer at the auction. He was always transparent and really professional. My husband and I were informed throughout the whole process and the sale price exceeded our expectations. Thank you!
Highly recommend!”
